AEI SmartBox technology was installed at Gippsland based organic dairy farm, Wilandra Farms. The system was accompanied by an installation of solar PV and trialed our ‘On-farm Controlled Microgrid’ software feature. Analysis of irrigation energy costs to the year prior revealed an incredible reduction from $81,000 to $1,000, with an estimated time savings of 15-25hrs per week.

In 2020 AEI SmartBox technology was installed on the McApline Dairy Farm in Gippsland, optimising irrigation energy costs using a wholesale spot price contract with the energy retailer.

In addition to huge time savings from automation benefits, the McApline’s saved approximately 10-15% of irrigation energy costs, and were also able to fill their dam following maintenance for 44% less energy costs than off peak pumping.

AEI SmartBox technology was installed at Mount Osmond Golf Club in South Australia, a stunning course that lies in the foothills of the popular Adelaide Hills region.

A comparison between pre and post implementation periods was conducted with incredible outcomes. The AEI SmartBox system achieved a 30% energy cost reduction despite pumping identical water volume, and while maintaining optimal dam level throughout.
